How would you describe your style? Natural fibers, soft linens, flowy, earth centered, easy going, comfortable.

Do you remember the first thing you made? The first time I used natural dyes I dyed cotton yarn with turmeric! I’ve been sewing and working with fibers since about age 12.

Before I started making I… I’ve been a maker my whole life! Knitting, sewing, you name a fiber craft and I’ve done it :)

If I weren’t a maker I’d be... A sommelier or food writer! I love food and drink and working in the hospitality industry.

Favorite quote or words to live by: I love the zen proverb, “let go or be dragged” as a reminder to not grasp too tightly to things and allow more flow and ease.

If I could run away I’d go… To a villa in Southern Italy! I dream of the slow paced Italian lifestyle, spending time with family and enjoying all the amazing food and wine.

If you could collaborate with one person dead or alive who would it be? Ruth Asawa! She was an amazing textile artist who created a beautiful and unique body of work that I admire so much.

What would be on your maker’s soundtrack? Weyes Blood, Angel Olsen, The Velvet Underground, Sharon Jones. Listening to music while I work is a must!

If you could learn a new skill what would it be? I would love to learn how to work with wood. That medium seems so foreign to me and SO impressive! I’d love to be able to build my own furniture and display elements.

What’s your favorite movie? It’s so hard to pick just one! Some favorites are Vertigo by Alfred Hitchcock, Don’t Look Now by Nicolas Roeg and Girlfriends by Claudia Weil.

Last book you read? How to Do Nothing by Jenny Odell

What would your last meal be? An elaborate cheese board.

Favorite artist? I have so many, but if I had to pick one it would be Yoko Ono.

Favorite flower or tree? I love Queen Lime Zinnia! So bright and summery.

Any hidden talents? Dancing! I spent all of my childhood doing every form of dance. Now I enjoy dancing in my studio and zumba class! 

Favorite time of day? Sunset

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? Teleportation!

Most interesting thing in your liquor cabinet? A few bottles of natural wine! I joined a subscription service recently as a treat and I’m enjoying it immensely :) 

Favorite thing to cook? Fresh pita bread and babaganoush with eggplant from the garden.

What are you currently watching? Every single episode of Seinfeld.

What are you most thankful for? The unwavering support of my partner in all my creative endeavors.
