How would you describe your personal style? A combination of vintage - warmth - homey atmosphere with a lot of thoughtful details! Not too strict , there may be some playfulness in it.

Before I started making I... studied product design in Milano and interior design in Belgium. After that I went working to in a well-known furniture store on the Belgian coast

If I weren't a maker, I'd be... a maker / designer but in another work field , such as sport clothing .... or yacht design! These are 2 workfields in which I am strongly interested.

Favorite quote or words to live by: IMAGINE

If you could collaborate with one person dead or alive, who would it be? Designers such as Willy Rizzo , Osvaldo Borsani , Gio Ponti.....

If I could run away, I’d… travel around the world on a boat, every day in a swimsuit or sports outfit seems heavenly to me.

What are you most thankful for? I am grateful for the people who believe in our collection and wish to grow with us, also very grateful for family and my team who put 200% every day to reach the next level and think together with me to achieve my goals!

What would be on your “maker’s soundtrack”? Una Mattina - Ludovico Einaudi

What is your perfect day? A day without an alarm clock, eating breakfast with my husband + 2 children and preparing ourself for a long walk in sports outfit in cold but sunny weather

Last book you read? HeHe - as I mentioned before... I never read! :-) - Not a good characteristic ... I know.

What would your last meal be? Spaghetti al ragu!

Favorite Scent? Bergamont

What is the most challenging project you have worked on? Why? Our OOL bar we have launched at Milano 2024. It is technically a difficult furniture piece. Finding the right proportions was not easy.

What do you see outside your bedroom window? It is a flower shop in a picturesque street in Knokke, which always has a very creative approach to flowers, plants and decoration.

What do you hear right now? My neighbor's renovations :-) and some deliveries in the street. So not really exciting!

Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever met? Zaha Hadid!

What was the last gift you gave someone? A toy to my children, a very annoying sword with dinosaurs on it that glows in the dark and makes a lot of noise. But they are having a lot of fun with it.

If money was not a factor, how would you live your life? I would just live with less, with less luxury. I am also convinced that the less, the easier. Sometimes luxury stresses me out.

Best piece of advice you have ever received? Don't forget to always think twice - no matter what the idea / question / evolution is, you need to be 100 % sure you want to go for it. If not don't even start, it is a waste of time!

Any hidden talents?
-I remember license plates
-Listening to a person and then being able to follow all the other conversations around me

Where did you grow up? Meulebeke , a small village in West Flanders, the Flemish part of Belgium

Favorite time of day? 100% definitely the morning.

Favorite holiday? Namibië - Africa

What is your most treasured possession? A letter from my mother to me when I was at boarding school in which she tells me to believe in myself.

What is your favorite family tradition? Every 2 years, 2 people from our family organize a trip abroad. We are 35 in total. This year it was Scotland and 2 years ago Ireland. Since we don't see each other much and everyone lives their own lives, this is a way to a way to keep the bond strong.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be? I wouldn't grow old and stop time when I wanted to so that I could achieve everything what I want!

What song best describes your work ethic? Sultans of Swing by Dire Straits

Favorite thing to cook? Pancakes

What are you currently watching? The Perfect Couple - I love the attitude of Nicole Kidman !

How do you stay creative and inspired? My creativity also often comes from clearing my head, for example taking long walks without a mobile phone, without company and just walk!

What is your favorite aspect of your job? The way you NEED to trust the process ....... I'm ready but not yet my clients, it needs some time and patience but in the end after a few psychological :-) discussions you get where you wanted to go and they accept your way of working / thinking / designing and fully trust you!

What is your favorite design era and why? Definitely the 1970s because there was no hesitation in the use of color and pattern. (On the contrary!) I miss this enormously in Belgium. They are afraid of the use of color and sometimes get too caught up in that timeless story. Why do all those interiors have to be timeless, time is finite for ourselves as a person. Why not create an interior, an object that we fall in love with, even if that place or design item is not timeless. Who cares .... you like it!

What’s the weirdest thing a client has ever asked you? If they asked me something strange, I would probably not agree and try to turn it into something good instead of something aesthetically bad! The goal is weird things with a good outcome . I'm not easily blown away, I'm open minded.

What’s your design pet peeve? Think everything through and start from a concept. Extend this concept to every possible level of the design so that everything fits together 100% and the overall picture is correct. When you feel that something is not right, think again

What’s a new hobby/skill that you have learned recently? It's sad to say, but at the moment I don't have time to develop a new hobby. I actually have to stop everything due to lack of time. I wish it were different.
