How would you describe your style? Quiet Beauty

Do you remember the first thing you made? I recall a few 'pivotal' pieces that felt like 'firsts'.....a series of organic textured grey clay vessels, a tiny work on paper made of a crushed birds eggs, but what really shifted me was my first 12" palest pink gesso pastiglia 'Dot' painting (image included).

Before I started making I… was in the fashion industry and a gilding restorer/conservator.

If I weren’t a maker I’d be... an archeologist or a surgeon. Or a conservator, but I still am sort of that.

A round coffee table commission for Thomas O'Brien that was gilded white gold on oak in the center, Navy blue burnished gilder's clay on the outer perimeter and 23kt gold leaf around 2" of the outer edge. Keeping the line clean between the transition of each material was ridiculously difficult. But I also loved the challenge and it was exquisite when finished.
