How would you describe your style? Life in rural Maine.

Do you remember the first thing you made? When I was little my mom made a crazy quilt out of scraps of my and my sibling's clothes. I remember summer afternoons helping with that quilt on the back porch.

Before I started making I… worked as a landscape architect and urban designer.

Favorite quote or words to live by: Not a quote, really, but believing that everyone is essentially good in their true nature and that we all share a common humanity is a core belief I live by.

If I could run away I’d go… take a nap.

If you could collaborate with one person dead or alive who would it be? First person that popped into my head is Fernando Laposse. I love his creative exploration of materials and textures, and his respect for the cultural traditions of Mexico.

What are you most thankful for? I am so thankful to live in a beautiful place with people I love. I am also always amazed and thankful that Patrick and I support ourselves and our employees through our business.

If you could learn a new skill what would it be? Blacksmithing.

Last book you read? Last night I finished “The Sun Walks Down” by Fiona McFarlane

Favorite Scent? Fresh grapefruits. A ripe grapefruit will stop me in my tracks, lol.

What do you see outside your bedroom window? A wood pile, a tent platform, and a very overgrown perennial garden.

If money was not a factor how would you live your life? Pretty similar to now, just in a house with a bit more space and more visits with far-flung loved ones.

Favorite podcast? Handsome

Best piece of advice you have ever received? Don't try to run every part of your business yourself: outsource when possible and hire talented people you trust. Thanks, Mom!

Favorite time of day? Early morning, while everyone in the house is sleeping.

What is your favorite family tradition? My siblings and our families spend a week vacationing together every summer. It's always a wonderfully chaotic and joyful reunion.

Favorite thing to cook? I love making fresh pasta and eating it with tomatoes straight from the garden.

How do you stay creative and inspired? Libraries and museums are big inspirations for me. I also find that time spent alone outside to be both inspiring and rejuvenating. That could be a hike in the woods, a swim in the ocean, or just a wander in a new city or town...

What is your favorite aspect of your job? Working with my partner.

What’s your design pet peeve? Too much!
