How would you describe your style? Classic Scandinavian. Earnest and timeless.
Do you remember the first thing you made? I made a chevron blanket out of acrylic yarn that I bought in Sag Harbor, NY. An inexpensive experiment that I crocheted while recovering from an ankle injury.
Before I started making I… I am a Fitness Author and Expert, I still am, with a diverse career teaching classes, training people one on one and designing fitness amenities for New York development firms.
If I weren’t a maker I’d be... A Philosopher or Minister.

What’s your favorite movie? The Sound of Music - musical... first movie I saw in a cinema. Auntie Mame with Roslind Russell - fluff feel good

Favorite Scent? Terra by Hermes as a fragrance to wear and Lilacs in season
Favorite Flower or Tree? Zinnias for Flowers and Birch for Tree

What would be on your maker’s soundtrack? A curated and diverse array of Adele, Phoebe Snow, Luther Vandross, Gladys Knight, Mark Anthony, Classic Disco and Piano
What do you see outside your bedroom window? The westside of Central Park at 72nd Street in Manhattan. The skyline of the historic NYC buildings of a period in the far distant past. Solid earnest buildings with great dignity. I see sunrises everyday.
What do you hear right now? The murmur of New York City's constant hum. The energy of the city that never sleeps, yet never releases you of its constant hum.
Who’s the most famous person you’ve ever met? Lucille Ball, Queen Margareta of Denmark, and Jimmy Carter - US President
If you could learn a new skill what would it be? Bespoke Tailoring. I would love to have not only the craftsmanship but the patience.
If money was not a factor how would you live your life? With less... I have lived with more and it wasn't as satisfying as it was when I was resourceful. My favorite apartment in NY was my first - which took every penny to live in and I loved it. A cherished and ambitious time for me.
Favorite podcast? Aside from my own - Moments that Matter with Jon Giswold... I love RuPaul. He has evolved as I have and simultaneously I might add. He has profound wisdom in a pretty wrapper.
Best piece of advice you have ever received? I would rather LOVE than be RIGHT - from author Tracey Jackson
Any hidden talents? Speak Danish... which has no use outside of Denmark.
Favorite time of day? 6am. Before the restless wake up and wind up. No matter where I am in the world, my body and mental clock awakens at 6. Instinct is a marvelous thing.
What are you most thankful for? My Sobriety - period
